Santa Anita Horse Races

We spent this last Saturday up in Pasadena at the Santa Anita Race Track to watch the horse races and it's always such a fun time.  We haven't been for awhile since we used to live closer up there so I was really excited to take Capri and see how she liked it.  She loved watching the "horsies" race super fast and when she got to meet them up close after with the jockeys.  The entire grounds of the place are gorgeous with everything perfectly groomed and it makes for such a fun weekend outing.  If you have never experienced a real horse racing event before, I definitely think you need to put it on your to-do list to experience at least once.  It's pretty inexpensive to get in with general admission and kids are free, or you can sit in the clubhouse seats that cost a little more but you have your own box with a little TV to watch the races and see all the stats to help you place your bets.  They also have a playground for kids to help entertain them in between the races in the in-field of the track that Capri really liked.  There are lots of events going on there this Spring so if you're interested I would check out the calendar and find a good weekend to go.  Here are a few photos from our fun day.
